# Ecosystem Overview

W3.io is an industry consortium consisting of Web 3’s top off-chain compute projects and L1/L2 ecosystems. W3.io’s long-term objective is to increase the total addressable market for Web 3 compute and blockchain ecosystems by operating a full stack and community governed decentralized AWS equivalent.  

In addition to the community, the W3.io ecosystem has three primary segments:
